  4329 candidates filed 5240 nominations for 1013 seats of Zila Parishad in Panchayat Election of Rajasthan. In the last Panchayat election 4152 candidates filed 5105 nominations. Total number of 22830 candidates filed nominations for 5723 seats of Panchayat Samiti.

Nomination letters to be  checked on Monday. 166 Zila parishad candidates and 1219 Panchayat Samiti candidates are fighting election in Jaipur. However, real situation will get clear after withdrawals.

In many wards  Congress party have allotted symbols to two candidates in many wards of Zila parishad and Panchayat Samiti. Candidates and concerned assistant returning officer were inquiring from District election office through out the Sunday . in case a symbol is allotted to two or more candidates by same party in same ward nomination filed first will be considered as legal, N.L Meena,  Deputy Election officer said. If the party cancel nomination filed first then only  later filed nomination will be considered as legal.

27159 candidates filed nominations for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members in Panchayat election for Rajasthan. The  state election commission provided Stats for candidates on Sunday. A K Pandey,  State election commissioner told that 4329 candidates filed nominations for 1013 seats in 33 zila parishads. Maximum nominations were filed from Bharatpur (314) district and minimum nominations were filed from Pratapgarh (53). After Tuesday afternoon symbols will be allotted to candidates. Nominations can be withdrawn till 3 pm on Tuesday.
